Cable Socks

Single Eye (Type SE)

For straight forward pulling applications: eg pulling electric cables through underground ducts. The wire rope mesh has a "grip of iron" - the harder you pull, the tighter the grip.

Double Eye (Type DE)

This type is also used for pulling cables but allows the cable to pass completely through the sock. The double eye cable sock can also be supplied split and with a lace, so that it can be wrapped around the cable and then laced up (rather than inserting the cable from one end).

Fleeting Eye (Type FE)

This type does have brazings at one end as no Talurit splice is involved. Open-ended cable socks are extremely valuable for connecting or reeving cables, such as when changing crane ropes.
